A workplace study was conducted by the National Council on Compensation Inc. to discover the reasoning behind workplace violence. The results of the study revealed that robberies led to an elevated amount of workplace homicides.
Healthcare patients are usually the individuals who commit crimes at work, according to the study. This study contradicts popular beliefs about workplace homicides and shows that more people are killed at work during robberies that take place at their company.
Deaths at work can fall into several categories, and homicides account for 11 percent of all of these deaths. Although the rate at which robberies occur at businesses have declined over the years, they still make up 69 percent of workplace deaths.
