New Jersey company cited by OSHA for safety violations

A & B Ironworks LLC has been given a citation by the U.S. Department of Labors Occupational Safety and Health Administration. The citation is based off of information regarding safety violations at one of their locations.
One of the company’s sites, located in Manhattan, has received fines centered around fall hazards. OSHA determined that the company’s employees were vulnerable to falls that were up to 45 feet while being on an unprotected scaffold. Due to these findings, OSHA has cited A& B Ironworks LLC two separate fines for a total of $92,400.
An OSHA director in the Manhattan area has stated that falls occurring at the workplace are the most cited injury as well as the deadliest.
