6.9% rate increase inquired by NJ Workers Compensation Insurers

A request has been recorded in order to increase workers’ compensation rates in the state of New Jersey by 6.9 percent in 2012. The request was submitted by the New Jersey Compensation Rating & Inspection Bureau.
According to the Bureau’s executive director, the working conditions in New Jersey have equaled at over time.
A decrease in the economy of New Jersey has brought on increasing medical costs that is directly related to a lowered level of premium base.
The modification will ad $5 to the minimum workers comp benefit and the maximum will go up $18.
